My View on Herbalife

June 28, 2021 Leave a Comment

I have been asked by multiple patients in the last few weeks my view on Herbalife, so I figure its time to pop a little blog up about this!

I do not recommend anyone to take Herbalife but especially my patients who are in a vital healing state.

In my opinion it is a very poor supplement due to these main reasons

  • the poor quality synthetic vitamins used
  • the artificial gums, filler, flavours, additives used in all the products (including dextrose – which is sugar!!! sunflower oil, corn syrup solids, magnesium stearate, potassium sorbate – all degrade gut health and INCREASE inflammation, compound and cause leaky gut
  • it contains “natural” flavours, NOT bioidentical flavours, these are synthetic flavours which according to research “may trigger an acute, allergic reaction, intolerance, or other problems.”
  • the protein sources in the protein powders used are whey and soy, the two I recommend the LEAST, soy is one of the “Big 8” allergens (the soy protein in most protein powders usually comes from GMO soybeans that are often processed using the petroleum-based solvent hexane, plus carry Round Up as residue)

This is my personal opinion as an experienced practitioner of over 14 years experience.

Please if you are recommended these products, do your homework, check 1) the ingredients themselves, where are they sourced, what is the quality, are they suitable for your individual needs

2) plus what is known as the ‘excipients’ , that is what the ingredients are mixed with, as a practitioner I will avoid certain excipients as they are harmful to the gut and increase overall inflammation in the body

I would recommend that you do this with ALL supplements you are recommended! I personally check, research and double check all supplements that I recommend.

If using these shakes for weight loss, you do not need to use a shake program to lose weight or maintain weight loss – this can be done with 100% dietary and lifestyle changes, as I have done with my patients for over 14 years, using fresh, unprocessed, real foods.

My thoughts on the matter!

In good health, Victoria xx
